Subaru recently announced the debut of its first-ever all-new electric SUV, the 2023 Subaru Solterra. This model was introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Even with the latest in electrification and advanced technology, the 2023 Subaru Solterra stays true to its Subaru roots. This model is able and willing to go anywhere while providing supreme comfort. Solterra is the Latin word for Sun and Earth combined and was chosen to show the dedication of Subaru to protecting the environment.

Performance of the Solterra

Standard for this model is the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive to provide more confidence in all situations. StarDrive technology from Subaru ensures maximum traction when it’s needed in all kinds of weather and traveling on various terrain.

As with other Subaru models, the Solterra includes X-MODE, which improves performance off-road and in low-friction conditions. Grip Control works with both Hill Ascent and Descent Assist for more stability. You can also clear more obstacles off-road with 8.3 inches of ground clearance.

Both motors combine in the 2023 Subaru Solterra for 215 horsepower to enhance both city driving and off-roading. Electric technology doesn’t mean you have to compromise in this SUV.

Subaru’s Dedication to Safety

Advanced safety technology enables the 2023 Subaru Solterra to assist the driver by monitoring road conditions and sending warnings when necessary. For instance, blind spot monitoring comes with lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert to warn you when it isn’t safe to switch lanes. Parking Support Brake applies the brakes if an obstacle is in the way when you back up.

You’ll get a better view of your surroundings with the 360-degree surround-view camera, which increases awareness before you move. This model also includes Safe Exit Assist to warn when it isn’t safe to leave the vehicle on busy street parking.

Subaru built the 2023 Solterra on its new e-SUBARU Global Platform. The platform is unique to the SUV and combines exceptional driving dynamics, impressive safety, and all-wheel capability.

Keep Driving Further

You can get further in the 2023 Subaru Solterra with an estimated driving range of over 220 miles. You can charge quickly at DC fast charging stations with up to 80 percent charge in less than an hour. Charging at home is easier with Level 1 or Level 2 capability.

Modern amenities ensure the 2023 Subaru Solterra is a comfortable ride. The clean design continues inside the SUV with a panoramic glass roof to increase natural lighting and plenty of storage options. Use the smartphone app to start the vehicle remotely while warming up or cooling down the cabin for a more inviting space when you’re ready to leave.

The 2023 Subaru Solterra is scheduled to go on sale in mid-2022. You can find out more about it when you visit Premier Subaru of Fremont, your local Hayward, Fremont, Milpitas, and San Jose dealership. Stop in for a test drive when this SUV becomes available and see how it fits your active lifestyle.
