New for 2022
Subaru has certainly outdone itself with this year's Outback by implementing a more powerful engine as well as a full release of previously limited safety features. The overall power of the classic Subaru BOXER comes turbocharged with the Onyx Edition and has a maximum of 260 horsepower with 277 lb-ft of torque. Other models have a 2700 lb maximum towing capacity, but the power of the Onyx's engine harnesses a 3500 maximum towing capacity, the highest yet on an Outback.
The 2022 Outback also sees an upgraded generation of X-Mode all-terrain driving system which can be found on the new and exciting Outback wilderness. Another exciting safety feature coming to this year's Outback is the widespread implementation of Subaru's DriverFocus Driver Distraction Mitigation System. An inward-facing camera notifies you when it detects your eyes or face turning away from the windshield to ensure the highest level of focus on the road.

The Outback maintains the trend of its well-loved 11.6-inch touchscreen found on the center console. Fully customizable, the touchscreen is your entertainment center as you drive. Subaru owners also enjoy a 4-month trial period of Sirius XM radio and have the available option of turning their vehicle into a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot.
